As an Activity Aide, you will be responsible for running activities, creating flyers and other materials, shopping for supplies, assisting with calendar preparation, and many other duties. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.Responsibilities:Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressionsAssist with the organizing, planning, and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-beingEnthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents and familiesPassionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilitiesInteract with families and visitors of our residentsRequirements:High school graduate or equivalentPrior experience as an Activity AssistantPrior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferredSkills and Qualities:Written and verbal communication skillsAbility to respect all members of the healthcare teamSolid work history with excellent attendance and punctualityPatience, understanding, and compassion for those requiring our careJob Type: Part-time (20-30 hours/week), Alternate weekendsIf you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for working with seniors, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
