About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days or Nights, 7a–7p / 7p–7a | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, telemetry, and general medical diagnoses including cardiac cath, EP studies, pacemakers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, and acute-on-chronic conditions
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
• Read and independently interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms
• Manage patients on BiPAP, AIRVO, and tracheostomy as needed, performing basic troubleshooting of RT equipment
• Float as needed to PCU for full patient assignments, medical-surgical units, and ER holds/boarding
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 on the general unit and 1:3 for PCU-level overflow patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• PCU-level nursing experience required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
• Comfort working in a high-acuity stepdown or PCU environment with diverse patient populations
