Project Engineer

Schlouch Inc. has been Eastern PA's leading site/civil contractor since 1983 and is still growing! As a reputable leader in our field, we have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an energetic person to join our team as a Project Engineer.


The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to work with a high performance team. This position requires collaboration with internal and external customers and has the potential for growth with the ability to positively impact the success of our operations.


Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction / Bidding

• Perform earthwork takeoffs (cut/fill, length/area)
• Review and interpret geotechnical reports
• Identify cost-saving engineering alternatives based on site conditions
• Support project presentations to developers

Field Engineering & GPS

• Build and maintain surface models for GPS machine control
• Coordinate CAD files and construction plans
• Troubleshoot real-world field issues with practical solutions

Construction Phase

• Support project execution to stay on schedule and within budget
• Assist with change orders, claims, and documentation
• Participate in site meetings and coordination efforts
• Develop as-builts and field drawings

Qualifications:

• Engineering / Surveying Experience, preferred but not required
• Experience using Bluebeam, AGTEK and AutoCAD, preferred but not required
• Ability to Read Blueprints and Geotechnical Report
• Experience with GPS Modeling and Field Data Preparation, preferred but not required

Compensation:

• Salary Range: starting at $80,000 annually; Based on Skill Level

Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
