Salary: $50.00 per flagged hour (Flat rate based on advanced skill level)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (No regularly scheduled Saturdays)

AutoShop Recruiting has partnered with Top Line Car Care to hire an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician who can independently diagnose complex electrical, drivability, mechanical, and intermittent vehicle concerns. We need a true diagnostic specialist—not someone who simply retrieves codes and replaces parts.

• Massive Volume & Real Demand: You won't sit around waiting for work. We have serviced 475 vehicles in just the past two months , meaning there is a consistent, steady pipeline of complex work ready for a high-producer to turn serious hours.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, and mechanical concerns independently.
• Interpret scan data, test system operations, and develop logical diagnostic testing plans.
• Appropriately utilize wiring diagrams, meters, scopes, and advanced testing equipment to confirm the root cause before recommending repairs.
• Complete advanced mechanical repairs and maintain strong flat-rate productivity without sacrificing accuracy.
• Document test results clearly and communicate findings effectively with the service team.
• Verify all repairs through thorough quality control before returning vehicles to customers.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

• Experience: Strong professional automotive repair experience with advanced electrical and drivability diagnostic capabilities.
• Mindset: Proven ability to isolate difficult or intermittent vehicle concerns without relying on parts-replacement as a diagnostic strategy.
• Tools: Professional diagnostic tools appropriate for a senior, high-level position.
• Credentials: Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record. (ASE certifications are highly valued, but demonstrated diagnostic ability matters most).
• Communication: Clear communication and robust digital documentation skills.
