Inventory Coordinator
We are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and shipping/receiving activities. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory is accurately maintained, materials are properly stored, and orders are prepared and shipped to customer sites in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and accurately store them in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare customer orders accurately for shipment according to established processes.
- Label and meter packages using various freight/shipping systems.
- Process inventory and shipping orders using the SJM ERP system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control activities.
- Perform material handling and ensure materials are delivered to required areas on time.
- Assist with Shipping & Receiving activities as needed.
- Complete daily preparations for the following day's distribution activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Support divisional initiatives and requirements related to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Comply with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
- Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, material handling, shipping, receiving, or distribution is preferred.
- Experience working with an ERP or inventory management system is a plus.
