Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience / Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in healthcare Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications Experience and knowledge of materials management/supply chain software systems Working knowledge of perpetual and PAR inventory processes Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing Position Summary The OR Supply Chain Coordinator assists with monitoring inventory levels to ensure availability of critical items while minimizing waste, overstock, and expired products. Maintains inventory levels using manual and automated methods, maintaining minimum and maximum levels for each stock item Assists with regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories in coordination with clinical and support departments. Coordinate with approved vendors to ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies. Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve issues related to quality, service, supply backorders, and delivery delays. Follows policies and procedures for infection control and facility safety in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Works with nursing, surgical services, and ancillary departments to anticipate supply needs, support patient care workflows, and respond to urgent requests or disruptions. Reduce costs and improve consistency. Assists with supply orders, monitoring par and Kanban levels, special, non‑stock orders, and validation of deliveries. Assists with Joint Commission compliance coordination: including hallway compliance, storage area compliance, and access area compliance. Assists in supply chain data collection, management, reporting, and analysis. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching. May require lifting up to 20 lbs. Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry. Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self‑motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry and lift up to 20 lbs.
