Senior Mechatronics Engineer – Robotics & Automation Location: Austin, TX Job Summary Seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer with expertise in industrial robotics, automation, and electromechanical system integration to modernize legacy manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on robotic system integration, PLC programming, motion control, automated production equipment, and commissioning within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Integrate industrial robots, cobots, and automation systems into existing production lines. Design and implement mechanical, electrical, and control system integrations. Program and optimize industrial robots, PLCs, and motion control systems. Configure and integrate sensors, actuators, motors, HMIs, and machine vision systems. Develop 3D CAD models and simulate robotic work cells prior to deployment. Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and robotic safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and provide technical support and training.
