This role is responsible for translating business needs into clearly defined requirements, user stories, and product features while championing user experience, operational efficiency, and measurable business value. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of product ownership, business process understanding, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery execution to ensure solutions align with strategic and operational goals.What you will do:Product Strategy & Roadmap Management (40%)Partner with business leadership to develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with operational and business objectivesPrioritize features and enhancements based on business value, technical constraints, risk, and regulatory requirementsBalance competing priorities across multiple insurance products while managing stakeholder expectationsCollaborate with Portfolio Management to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide initiativesDefine measurable success criteria for product implementations and track outcomesEvaluate opportunities to improve workflows, user experience, and operational effectiveness across supported platformsAgile Delivery Management (30%)Serve as the accountable owner for the product backlog, ensuring clarity, transparency, and continuous prioritizationWrite clear business requirements, user stories, and comprehensive acceptance criteriaTranslate complex business needs into actionable product and process solutions for development teamsLead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and related planning activitiesCoordinate with Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions to ensure alignment with broader delivery timelinesUse Jira and related Agile tools to manage backlog items, priorities, dependencies, and sprint progressCollaborate with QA teams and support User Acceptance Testing prior to deploymentStakeholder Management & Change Enablement (20%)Develop and execute change management plans for implementationsDesign and deliver targeted training sessions for stakeholders during product rolloutsCreate user adoption metrics and track progress against implementation goalsFacilitate regular feedback sessions with end users to drive continuous improvementServe as the primary escalation point for operational issues related to implemented productsDevelop communications that clearly articulate the value proposition, business impact, and benefits of new capabilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and support adoption of process and technology changesOperational Excellence and Analytics (10%)Establish and monitor KPIs for product performance and operational efficiencyDefine and track success metrics such as adoption, cycle time improvement, defect reduction, and stakeholder satisfactionIdentify optimization opportunities across platforms to improve workflow efficiencySupport disaster recovery planning and business continuity for critical systemsWork Environment & ScheduleOccasional travel to other C&F locations for collaborative planning sessions (10%)Regular participation in PI planning events (quarterly)Support during implementation weekends (scheduled 4–6 times annually)What you will bring to C&F:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience3+ years of experience, preferably in insurance operations, underwriting, product ownership, product management, or business analysisStrong ability to write clear, detailed business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteriaExperience using Jira or similar work management tools to manage product backlogs, stories, and sprint activitiesDemonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product and process solutionsDemonstrated ability to prioritize competing stakeholder needs and make effective tradeoff decisions based on value, risk, and delivery constraintsWorking knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in Scrum environmentsStrong analytical capabilities with data-informed decision-making skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred SkillsExperience with Origami Risk or similar claim administration systemsProficiency with Confluence or similar documentation tools for requirements and process documentationCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certificationExperience leading operational transformation initiativesKnowledge of underwriting workflows and decision processesUnderstanding of insurance regulatory requirements and their impact on product development#LI-MS#LI-REMOTEWhat C&F will bring to youCompetitive compensation packageGenerous 401K employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matchingGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $87,000 to a maximum of $127,600. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
