We will train the right person! The Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician- Trainee plays a critical role in ensuring that our first responders operate safe, reliable, and effective vehicles. The Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician- Trainee is tasked with installing the following equipment: Emergency Vehicle Lighting and Control Systems, Sirens, Prisoner Transport Systems, Radios, Radar, In‑Car‑Camera Systems, License Plate Readers, Equipment Consoles and Cargo Cabinets, Weapon and Drone mounting systems, and front push bars. Compensation and Benefits $20-$24 per hour, depending on experience Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision) Paid time off and holidays 401K Schedule Full Time-Hourly Typical Schedule is Monday-Friday 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. Some overtime required Location 701 Willow Pass Road, Suite 8, Pittsburg, CA 94565 Attributes of a Strong Candidate Ability to work with hand and power tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc. Proven 12V experience – a plus Ability to read blueprints/schematics – a plus Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources is a plus Capability to bend, twist, reach, and lift to 50 lbs. without assistance Capacity to work independently and in a team environment Strong Work Ethic Thirst for Knowledge Valid Driver’s License Primary Responsibilities Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts Installation of specialized emergency vehicle Lightbars, Emergency lighting, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, in-car video, Computers, License Plate Recognition, and much more Attention to detail as it relates to job progress and tracking of hours We look forward to receiving your resume! #J-18808-Ljbffr Lehr Auto
