Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Syracuse, New York. Specialty: Pediatrics Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We're looking for Pediatric RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Syracuse, NY. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Responsibilities Provide age-appropriate care to patients. Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures. Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests. Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations. Assist treating physician during examination, treatment, and procedures. Provide information, education and support to patients' family members. Physical/Job Requirements PED Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Pediatric RNs may face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
