Loan Boarding Specialist

Loan Boarding 8:30 am – 5:30 Pm M – F $19.50 per hour Temp to Perm Located at a busy mortgage company in Cascade, MI

Responsibilities required of the Loan Boarding position, but not limited to:

• Data Verification: Compare executed loan documents (terms, interest rates, fees, borrower details) against system inputs to prevent discrepancies.
• System Onboarding: Accurately key all note and commitment data into the bank or credit union's core loan accounting platform (e.g., ICE MSP, FIS IBS).
• Financial Transactions: Disburse loan proceeds, distribute funds to appropriate entities, and process general ledger (GL) entries.
• Escrow & Collateral Setup: Activate escrow accounts (for taxes and insurance) and establish tracking for collateral perfection.
• Quality Control: Resolve discrepancies with underwriters, closers, and portfolio managers, while generating welcome packets for borrowers

Other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an office, administrative or clerical position required
• Proficient with Microsoft products
• Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
• Reliability and dependability required – Excellent attendance is needed.
