Landscape Crew Member

Landscape Crew Members perform outdoor tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds maintenance. This is a physical, fast-paced role requiring reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Location: Chardon, OH Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to and from work. The worksite is 1.25 miles from the housing. Housing: Optional shared employee housing available at a low cost.

1. Cut lawns using various-sized power mowers.
2. Trim and edge using a gas-powered edger/trimmer.
3. Operate a gas-powered blower.
4. Trim shrubs and trees using shears, pruners, or gas-powered hedge trimmers.
5. Remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs from shrubs and trees.
6. Use landscaping tools and operate heavy equipment as needed.
7. Pick up leaves, trash, and grass clippings and load them onto a truck or trailer.
8. Weed by hand or using a garden hoe.
9. Plant trees, bushes, and flowers.
10. Check irrigation lines as needed.
11. Carry and spread mulch. Transport and arrange landscape boulders, build retaining walls, and work with hard materials.
12. Follow all safety procedures and use equipment properly. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Must pass a drug screen and background check.
3. Must be able to stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands/arms to handle equipment.
4. Must be able to see, hear, and communicate clearly.
5. Must be able to lift 70 pounds regularly.
6. Requires continuous ability to hear and speak.
7. Requires visual acuity (near vision and depth perception).
8. Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather and temperatures.
9. Requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.

1. Dependability: Must be on time and maintain regular attendance.
2. Job Performance: Must complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
3. Conduct: Must follow all worksite rules and regulations. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
