Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose Maintain systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; and supervising staff. Primary Duties Manage, supervise and execute maintenance and support activities 24/7. Maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts for all equipment. Keep shop and storage areas clean and organized. Conduct proper follow‑through on all maintenance issues. Deal with maintenance issues in a timely manner, working with maintenance staff. Plan maintenance employees’ schedules per forecasted workloads. Ensure compliance with company safety and security standards, procedures and policies. Ensure maintenance personnel use all required safety equipment correctly. Conduct safety inspections as scheduled and complete accurately. Establish priorities, goals and expectations and prepare action strategies in collaboration with the team. Perform repair, preventive maintenance and improvement of Distribution Center equipment and hardware. Adjust, repair, modify or perform preventive maintenance on a variety of conveyor systems and powered material handling equipment. Repair building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety and other facility equipment. Observe and test adjustments, repairs and modifications to all Distribution Center equipment to ensure safe operation. Maintain work orders, PMs and inventory tracking via spreadsheets, databases or maintenance software. Job Requirements Education and Experience : College degree preferred. Technical/Trade School certificate in facility maintenance or related area acceptable. Minimum of 3 years of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience with mechanical and industrial skills. Experience with modern powered conveyor systems, forklift equipment and computer‑based maintenance systems. Proficiency in electro‑mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC controllers, welding and related mechanical skills. Ability and flexibility to work alternate shifts if required. Initiative and problem‑solving skills: correct issues without direction, offer solutions and support a team effort. Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet established deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Essential Duties Ability to work alternate shifts if required. Working Conditions & Physical Demands May lift 50 to 75 pounds continuously during the shift. Capacity to sit, stand and walk for extended periods. Operate fixed and motorized material handling equipment. Assess surroundings and be aware of moving equipment. Work in a physical environment subject to temperature changes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, and possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other warehouse conditions.
