Job Description
As an Armed Security Officer Afternoon in Albuquerque, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, assisting with the orderly flow of visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
