Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Work Shift The Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating assigned patients, including obtaining accurate prescriptions, reviewing charts adequately, and documenting according to departmental policy. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Experience: None. Current OTA licensure by the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy. Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Must obtain and maintain required orthopedics education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Utilizes a variety of occupational therapy techniques to carry out effective treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
