Transportation Project Manager

Our client, a global leader in Smart Infrastructure and Industrial Technology, is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join their team. As a Transportation Project Manager, you will be part of the Logistics and Project Execution team supporting project management, manufacturing, procurement, and transportation partners. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and problem-solving expertise which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:
$43.00 - $46.00 USD per hour

What's the Job?

• Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end transportation projects involving overdimensional, overweight, and high-value freight.
• Develop transportation execution plans including routing, mode selection, scheduling, storage solutions, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate heavy haul, heavy lift, and special handling requirements, including cranes, escorts, rigging, and specialized equipment.
• Manage transportation providers, freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics partners to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor transportation budgets, mitigate risks, resolve delivery issues, and ensure compliance with permitting and regulatory requirements.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation project management, heavy haul, or special freight operations.
• Proven experience managing overdimensional and overweight shipments.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
