Senior Financial Accountant

Phoenix Proconnect is representing a client in Fort Lauderdale that's currently looking for a senior accounting analyst.


Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the Finance department including month and end-year processes, General Ledger management, capital assets reconciliations, debt activity, fixed asset and lease activity, and batching.
• Supporting the Controller in workflow process improvement and pursuing special projects.
• Ensuring finance team members meet all financial reporting deadlines.
• Aligning all accounting processes with GAAP.
• Maintaining the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial data and transactions into the ledger.
• Managing the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts.
• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close and reports.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements related to the Company's debt securitization and debt covenant compliance.
• Supporting tax accountants by gathering and providing data.
• Assisting the Auditor, Controller, and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
• Preparing financial reports such as cash flow statements and accounts payable and receivable aging lists.
• Creating reports to track and analyze trends in business performance over time.
• Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts for future financial performance of a company or organization.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside of the company.
• Strong team skills enabling interaction with the entire organization.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases (QuickBooks required, Sage Intacct a plus).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements.
