Regional Sales Manager – South & Central U.S.

About the Opportunity
A growing manufacturer of innovative commercial lighting solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth across the South & Central U.S. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in the electrical distribution channel who enjoys developing territories, supporting independent sales representatives, and building long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue and market share throughout the territory.
- Manage, coach, and travel with independent manufacturers’ representatives.
- Build strong relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, designers, and national accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing customer partnerships.
- Deliver product presentations and training to channel partners and end users.
- Monitor sales performance, forecasts, and competitive market activity.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer events.
- Partner with internal teams to support regional growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of regional or territory sales experience.
- Proven success selling through the electrical distribution channel.
- Experience managing independent manufacturers’ representative agencies.
- Strong business development, account management, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
Location
This is a remote, field-based position covering the South & Central United States. Candidates should reside near a major transportation hub within the region, or a comparable location with convenient regional travel access.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
