Prominent client located in the Lansdale, PA area is looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Staff Accountant will provide accounting support for ongoing projects including budget monitoring and cash flow updates, process accounts payable/receivable transactions, assist with customer billing and invoicing activities, maintain and update project related documentation including purchase orders, contribute to month-end close activities, and identify opportunities to improve processes and support additional accounting initiatives. This Staff Accountant role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and enjoys being involved in a variety of accounting and project-related functions.

Everyday Responsibilities

·      Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and account analysis

·      Assist with daily accounting functions

·      Reconcile and monitor collection accounts

·      Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP)

·      Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts

·      Monitor the record keeping system

·      Prepare vendor invoices

·      Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation needed

The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:

·      3-5 years of accounting experience (construction, manufacturing)

·      CPA strongly preferred

·      Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word

·      Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
