Senior Project Manager/Practice Builder - Aviation

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Practice Builder to expand our Aviation practice in Orange, California (CA)! Overview As a Practice Builder, you will lead and grow the Aviation team, building and managing relationships with key clients while developing the practice into a profitable line of business. Responsibilities Lead and expand an Aviation team and practice while building and managing relationships with key clients. Review design documents & drawings for airside and landside Aviation projects, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans. Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction. Operate with integrity and sound business principles. Provide vision, business planning and strategy. Establish goals. Build and maintain positive client relationships. Communicate openly with partners and team. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor. Enjoy autonomy to lead, direct, and grow your business. Earn a significant bonus program and potential ownership. Qualifications 15+ years of relevant experience managing airport design and construction projects. Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Strong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3D. Business development and marketing experience writing proposals, scopes, and budgets. Effective communication at all levels. Ability to manage & mentor staff and direct resources positively. Proven ability to manage land development projects profitably.
