We are hiring an Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Huntsville area.

This position is ideal for an early-career engineer interested in gaining hands-on experience with mechanical design, manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.

Responsibilities

Create and modify mechanical designs and engineering drawings
Assist with the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tooling
Develop and review 2D and 3D drawings
Support automotive manufacturing and production processes
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams
Troubleshoot mechanical and design-related issues
Support continuous improvement projects
Ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field
Entry-level and early-career candidates encouraged to apply
Experience or familiarity with jig and fixture design preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity with CAD or mechanical design software
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Automotive or manufacturing experience is a plus
