Join our dynamic team as a Regional Class A Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated regions. In this vital role, you will operate a tractor-trailer and refrigerated trailers ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving and load handling will directly contribute to our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers across regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Secure cargo properly for transport to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or vehicle issues
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Skilled in operating manual or automatic transmission vehicles with confidence and precision
- Familiarity with various truck types including refrigerated trailers and dry vans
- Ability to unload freight when needed (NOT OFTEN)
- Strong understanding of route planning and route driving best practices for regional deliveries
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
- Physical ability to handle freight loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly
