Job Summary

A banking organization in Danville, CA is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead branch operations, drive deposit growth, coach a customer-focused team, and strengthen relationships within the local community. The Branch Manager will play a key role in building a positive branch culture through supportive leadership, consistent coaching, and strong teamwork. Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with bank policies, audit standards, state and federal regulations, and established operating procedures.
- Hire, train, coach, and manage branch employees while conducting regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
- Drive branch growth through sales strategies, outbound calling, customer profiling, relationship building, deposit growth initiatives, and community networking.
- Deliver and model exceptional customer service by resolving complex customer issues, supporting account servicing needs, and creating a welcoming branch experience.
- Monitor branch performance, budgets, expenses, transaction activity, overdrafts, NSF reports, deposits, and operational trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Promote community involvement and support CRA-related activities, including participation in civic, professional, and local business organizations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $74,880 to $107,525 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily branch operations, audits, compliance, reporting, approvals, customer escalations, and operational quality control.
- Lead sales strategies focused on deposit growth, new accounts, customer retention, cross-selling, outbound calls, and community relationship building.
- Supervise, coach, train, schedule, and evaluate branch employees while supporting performance management and team development.
- Partner with internal leadership and lending teams to support marketing efforts, referrals, small business credit opportunities, and customer relationship expansion.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a branch banking environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of branch management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years managing complex business and consumer accounts.
- Proven sales ability with documented branch growth.
- Experience hiring, training, coaching, developing, and managing employee performance.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, customer service standards, branch controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build teamwork and maintain a customer-first culture.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software programs.
- Active involvement in business-related local community organizations such as chambers of commerce, Rotary, or similar groups.
- Current California driver’s license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for business-related travel.

Preferred Qualifications

- Notary Public commission preferred.
- Experience participating in CRA-related community activities preferred.
- Strong local market knowledge in the Danville or East Bay banking community preferred.
