Job Title: Ambulatory Oncology Infusion RN Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 10 Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Experience: 2 years RN experience License: RN license Certifications: BLS; Chemo/Bio/Immunotherapy provider card required Must-Have: Experienced Oncology nurse Chemo competent ONS/OCC chemo Provider card required Ambulatory experience preferred Experience with Epic/Beacon must be very proficient at IV insertions Description: The position is for an experienced Oncology nurse in an infusion clinic setting. The RN will care for patients receiving chemotherapy, biologics, and immunotherapy. Candidates must possess a valid RN license and have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. BLS certification is mandatory. A Chemo/Bio/Immunotherapy provider card is required. Candidates should have proficiency in IV insertions and peripheral blood drawing skills. Experience in accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines is essential. Ongoing patient education is a critical component of this role. The infusion center operates in a very fast-paced environment. The RN will continually monitor patients throughout their treatment. Interventions must be timely during emergent situations. A relaxed setting for patient-focused care is provided in a supportive environment. Preferred qualifications include Epic experience and ACLS certification. Previous travel experience and some emergency room experience are also favored. Completion of the ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certificate course is required, specifically the online class, not the fundamentals course.
