Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency setting catering to patients of all ages. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of complex diagnoses and delivering effective interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on severity of conditions.
• Perform necessary procedures and patient management tasks such as intubation and central line care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Department; 2 years preferred.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
