Therapist - Physical Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments to a diverse patient population, focusing on improving functional abilities. Oversees and collaborates with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and modify individualized therapy plans that optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform detailed assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses to develop tailored treatment plans for patients across various ages and diagnoses.
  
  
• 
  Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments, adjusting interventions based on patient response to maximize functional gains.
  
  
• 
  Supervise and coordinate the activities of Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff to ensure quality care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, home programs, and self-care strategies to promote independence.
  
  
• 
  Document clinical encounters accurately, including diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and recommendations, in accordance with policies.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care, review patient progress, and facilitate equipment needs and discharge planning.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Must possess an active Alaska Physical Therapist license at the time of submission.
  
  
• 
  Hold a master's or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or equivalent experience with demonstrated mastery.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab setting.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification is required.
  
  
• 
  Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.
