Registered Nurse (RN) Surgery

Job Details Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shifts. Wage Scale: $42.14 – $78.11 per hour. Commitment-Incentive Bonus: $10,000 – $20,000. Union Position. Team & Environment Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services plans, coordinates, and implements patient care for the age group served in the department, ensuring quality, efficient, and safe care that aligns with departmental standards and the organization’s mission. 6 Operating Rooms 2 GI Suites 8‑hour shifts, Monday–Friday 07:00–15:30 On‑call rotations including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays; may be required based on departmental needs. 1 weekend per month required. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available. Perform circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures. Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical environment for safety and compliance. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow. Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and team members. Document care accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety, and team performance. Requirements Applicants must hold a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements: ACLS, BCLS, PALS required. At least one year of perioperative RN experience. Compensation & Benefits Commitment‑Incentive Bonus: $10,000 – $20,000. Shift differential: $2.25 – $4.50.
