Principal EngineerWells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) team within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). In this role, you will help design, build, and deliver innovative technology solutions that support critical banking and capital markets platforms used by clients around the world. Working on complex, large-scale initiatives, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that align with strategic business objectives. You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, advancing modern technology capabilities, and enabling growth across a diverse portfolio of banking, lending, investment banking, and markets services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while partnering with teams across the organization to solve complex challenges and deliver value to clients globally.In this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience with enterprise grade Manage File Transfer leading industry products such as Axway Secure Transport, IBM Connect Direct, Sterling B2B integrator or equivalent solutions.Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, As2, NDM etc.5+ years of experience with encryption technologies including PGP/GPG, SSL/TLS, digital certificates, key management, and data protection best practices3+ years of experience with cloud storage and object storage technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google cloud storage5+ years of experience with designing resilient, highly available, and secure enterprise file transfer architecture3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP5+ years of experience with deploying and managing applications using K8/OpenShift, docker containers and modern cloud native architectures5+ years of experience with supporting enterprise B2B managed file integrations, large scale partner onboarding, and migrationsDesired Qualifications:Proven experience leading geographically distributed engineering teamsStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner with business, application teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architectureAbility to drive engineering excellence through automation, standardization, continuous improvement, and operational metricsJob Expectations:This position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleMust be able to work on-site at the listed locationRelocation assistance is not available for this positionJob Posting Location:2600 S Price Rd., Chandler, AZ 85286We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
