This assignment runs from September 1st through June 4th, matching the traditional school year, and features a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll have the rewarding task of providing specialized instruction within cross-categorical caseloads, fostering growth and progress for students with diverse learning needs.

Desired Background/Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin Special Education Cross Categorical License #801, or other valid Wisconsin special education teaching credentials
• Experience with elementary or middle school age groups preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to create and implement differentiated instructional plans
• Dedication to supporting inclusion and equity within the classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for students across multiple categories
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, specialists, support staff, and families
• Assess, track, and communicate student progress effectively
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet students’ specific needs and learning profiles
• Promote social, behavioral, and academic growth in an inclusive setting
