Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co-workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patients treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Has the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state. 2. BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 3. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4. Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year). 5. Wound Care Certification within first year of hire 6. Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred
