Exciting Opportunity for a Progressive Care Unit RN!


Job Description:
- Join a dynamic float team as a RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Engage in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to be flexible with scheduling, including a minimum of every other weekend.
- Be part of a team that prioritizes patient care and unit needs.

Requirements:
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certification are required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry experience is essential.
- Proficient in managing insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and aftercare for post-cardiac catheterization.
- Epic experience required within the last 2 years; this is non-negotiable.
- Must possess a valid NY license at the time of submission.

Additional Information:
- Orientation happens bi-weekly on Mondays.
- Employment gaps over 90 days should be clearly explained.
- Complete work history information is required for submission (including bed count, EMR, and facility type).


Important Notes:
- Public transportation is not available; reliable personal or rental transportation is crucial.
- Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires from November to April.

Unit Details:
- Total Facility Beds: 341
- Unit Specialty: PCU
- Nurse-Patient Ratio: 3:1
- Staffing: Telemetry tech available; CNAs/PCTs assist as needed.
- Charge nurse responsibilities are not required.

Shift Information:
- Shift hours: 7 AM / 7 PM
- Scheduling: Flexible; every other weekend commitment.
- Patient Population includes:
- Acute Coronary Syndrome
- Cardiac diagnoses requiring closer monitoring
- Insulin drip therapy
- Heart Failure and more!
