Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Article 31)

Behavioral Health And Wellness DivisionJCCA's Behavioral Health and Wellness division is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our Bronx Counseling Center (BCC) team on a part-time basis. The BCC provides high-quality mental health services to children and youth (ages 4–26) and their families. Our services include individual and family therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and referrals to community providers. Care is delivered both in-person and via telehealth.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication assessmentsProvide medication administration and monitoringCoordinate care with external psychiatric and healthcare providersDeliver psychoeducation to clients and familiesMaintain consistent documentation and communication with the clinical teamParticipate in team meetings and receive monthly supervision from a psychiatrist (minimum 4 hours/month)Ensure compliance with OMH Part 599 regulationsQualifications:Current New York State license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner1–2 years of experience working with children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric disordersFamiliarity with families with complex, multi-system needs and experience in crisis settingsStrong documentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and federal healthcare guidelinesBackground in Evidence-Based Practices and ModelsStrong understanding of Social Determinants of Health, Race Equity, Social Justice, and Trauma-Informed CareExcellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamBilingual (Spanish-speaking) requiredWhy Join JCCA?
