Software Architect

Job Description

One of our customers is seeking a Software Architect to help design and scale next-generation industrial software systems that combine software, AI, and automation. This individual will architect solutions that operate across manufacturing environments and integrate into existing product portfolios, MES, ERP, SCADA, Edge, and OT systems. They will evaluate when functionality should be enhanced within existing products versus building new components altogether while ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability. This person will partner directly with customers, developers, deployment teams, and global organizations to move solutions from concept through global deployment.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience

o 7+ years focused on architecture of complex, integrated systems

• Experience designing solutions across industrial automation, manufacturing, OT/IT environments, and large-scale system integrations

• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, APIs, scalability, system tradeoffs, and long-term maintainability

• Customer-facing communicator who can lead technical discussions, defend architectural decisions, and guide deployment strategy • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, Edge/IoT, MQTT, or OPC UA

• Lean Manufacturing experience

• AI/ML, predictive analytics, or industrial AI exposure

• Experience in highly regulated, mission-critical, or low-latency environments
