Healthcare IT Project Manager Location: Granville Health System, Oxford, NC Granville Health System is a leading medical provider in Granville County serving its community with statewide medical services. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology, the IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of information technology projects at a healthcare facility, aligning IT strategies with clinical, operational, and regulatory objectives. Position Highlights Starting Rate: $35.32+ per hour (commensurate with experience) Loan Forgiveness: Eligible employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and various supplemental benefits available Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning – develop and implement IT strategies that support overall business goals. Infrastructure Management – oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. Team Management – lead multidisciplinary professionals including clinicians, finance, IT, MSPs, VARS, vendor support engineers, and systems administrators. Budget Management – develop, review and manage IT project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Vendor Management – negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers. Project Management – oversee planning, execution and completion of IT projects, delivering on time and within budget. Security Management – develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect systems and data. Compliance – ensure projects and practices comply with industry standards and regulations. Stakeholder Engagement – collaborate with physicians, providers, fiscal services, and technical stakeholders. Problem Solving – identify and resolve IT-related issues promptly. Status Reporting – schedule and conduct weekly status review meetings, develop weekly and monthly reports on project progress, and maintain detailed task knowledge. Communications Plan – implement communication plans to reduce duplication and ensure consistent data standards. Stakeholder Communication – inform key stakeholders of issues that may affect deliverables. Team Collaboration – participate in weekly team meetings with agency leaders and contract staff to provide updates. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics or related field. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and security. Proven experience managing IT projects and budgets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Five or more years of project management experience. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. IT experience in healthcare or hospital setting; familiarity with HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission. Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical systems. Knowledge of healthcare data standards and interoperability. Certification in IT management (e.g., ITIL, PMP) preferred.
