Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating all heavy equipment used for sitework including but not limited to excavator, loader, Caterpillar machinery, bulldozer, commercial driving, water truck, and skid steer.

Responsibilities:

Conduct grading operations by driving and maneuvering equipment in successive passes to level terrain, distribute earth, adjust slopes, and build roadways or foundations, ensuring proper site elevation and stability.
Perform tasks including demolition, clearing, trench excavation, utility installation, and BMPs.
Utilize water trucks and tankers for various job requirements
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on heavy equipment
Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
Assist with related manual labor tasks as needed, such as digging, lifting, or finishing surfaces, and occasionally take on supervisory roles in the absence of a foreman.

Requirements:

5 years or more experience in heavy equipment operation
Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred
Ability to install pads on grade
Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for equipment operation
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication skills to follow instructions accurately
