$180,000-$200,000 base salary plus a performance based bonus

Company Overview

Our client is a vertically integrated, critical power product manufacturer, building PDUs, RPPs, and transfer switches for the data center market.

• They are in hypergrowth mode with revenue growing more than 3x last year and projected to grow another 50–100% next year.
\n
• Sister facilities under the same ownership handle precision sheet metal fabrication and power transformer manufacturing, with final assembly and on-site testing the primary facility.
\n
• They've recently acquired an additional 240,000 sq ft facility that will triple production capacity.
\n
• The COO this hire reports to is a tenured critical power manufacturing executive who took his prior division at a global OEM from 14–16 week lead times to 3–5 days on custom uninterruptible power supply products.
\n

Role Overview

\n
• Responsible for sales order entry to shipping including planning, engineering, production, test, and warehouse/shipping.
\n
• You will be accountable for OTD, Quality, Safety, Cost, and plant-level P&L performance.
\n
• As the business rapidly grows you'll start with a team of roughly 80 and will be expected to help build the organization, systems, and supervisory bench to support 250-300 employees across 2 sites and multiple shifts needed to serve customer demand effectively.
\n

Core Responsibilities

\n
• Daily, weekly, and monthly production scheduling
\n
• Direct 7-8 reports across Production, Planning, Engineering, Test, Quality, Safety, and Warehouse Operations.
\n
• Capacity planning and forecasting including translating demand growth into staffing plans, shift structures, layout changes, and CapEx requests.
\n
• Plant operating budget, with direct accountability for cost-per-unit, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
\n
• Lean deployment across the floor: value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, standard work, etc.
\n
• Uphold ISO 9001 quality management system, including documentation, corrective action, and customer audit readiness.
\n
• Daily and weekly operational reporting including OTD, first-pass yield, safety, productivity, WIP, and backlog, with countermeasures when performance trends off target.
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in a lean, high-growth environment.
\n
• A track record of building profitable capacity growth across people, process, and physical plant.
\n
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and audit/compliance processes.
\n
• Financial acumen to read, interpret, and act on a P&L and balance sheet, with prior plant budget ownership.
\n
• Experience leading a multi-department organization through supervisors and managers.
\n
• Experience leading an operation of at least 250 employees.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
\n

Target Background:

\n
• Electrical or electromechanical manufacturing background across power distribution, switchgear, industrial/electrical controls, or a similarly regulated electrical or grid-connected product.
\n
• Demonstrated experience running engineer-to-order production operations across a high-mix low-volume environment.
\n
• Sheet metal fabrication exposure.
\n
• Six Sigma or Lean certification.
