Senior CT Technologist - R.T.(R)(CT) ARRT


Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior CT Technologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Mission Viejo, CA. As a vital member of our team, you will produce quality and timely CT procedures for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatric patients.


Position Overview

As a Senior CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic CT procedures with a high degree of independence. Your role is crucial in producing optimal images and providing valuable information to physicians. You will be skilled in post-processing and will demonstrate a strong knowledge of anatomy. In this senior role, you will apply your expertise to assess and care for patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination process.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce quality and timely CT procedures according to physician's orders.
• Provide patient assessment and care for a wide range of patients, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate competence in post-processing techniques.
• Utilize a strong knowledge of anatomy to assist in providing information to the physicians.
• Maintain a high level of patient care and safety throughout all procedures.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  
  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Experience:
  
  
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of Technologist experience is required.
• Certifications:
  
  
  • A California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license is required upon hire.
  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
  • A National Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required upon hire.
  • A National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography (R.T.(CT)) from the ARRT OR National Computed Tomography Technologist Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board is required within 1 year of hire.
