Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room Charge (Nights)

Location

Arcata, CA | Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Onsite | Three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during overnight shifts
• Serve in a Charge Nurse capacity, overseeing unit operations and supporting nursing staff during assigned charge shifts
• Assess, prioritize, and coordinate care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract start date required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Charge Nurse role within an Emergency Room setting
• Experience managing high-acuity and diverse patient populations in an emergency environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills in a team-based care setting
