Position Summary: The IT Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect the organization’s infrastructure, systems, and data. This role focuses on hands-on security engineering, cloud security—particularly within Microsoft Azure—and proactive threat mitigation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a security-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate across IT and business teams to ensure a secure technology environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architecture across on‑premises and cloud environmentsLead security efforts within Microsoft Azure, including identity, access management, network security, and monitoringImplement and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management platformsIdentify, assess, and remediate security risks and system vulnerabilitiesSupport incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediationCollaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure secure system configurations and deploymentsDevelop, document, and maintain security standards, procedures, and technical controlsParticipate in security assessments, audits, and compliance initiativesStay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practicesQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (required)Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, or a related roleHands-on experience securing and managing Microsoft Azure environments, including experience of Defender, Purview and InTuneExperience of administering and using third-party security tools, e.g., Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, Darktrace or similarStrong understanding of network security, cloud security architecture, and identity and access managementExperience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management toolsAbility to troubleshoot complex security issues and drive solutions independentlyExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPhysical Requirements: Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions. Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer. Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
