Transportation Bus Maintenance - Area Mech Fleet B Mechanic

Job Overview The Area B Fleet Mechanics are responsible for keeping Walt Disney World’s large passenger bus fleet in full repair so that guests board safely and on time. This field‑service role may involve working from elevated platforms and confined spaces across the Disney World Parks and Resort property. Responsibilities Perform annual DOT inspections on the corporate bus fleet Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on transit vehicles Respond to non‑routine service calls Perform daily fleet inspections, fueling and minor repairs at the satellite maintenance facility Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required Use required personal protective equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) Basic Qualifications Valid Florida CDL Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain a permit by the time of hire Ability to obtain and maintain a Medium/Heavy Truck T4 or Transit Bus H4 heavy‑duty brake ASE certification within 90 days of hire Maintain ASE credentials once obtained Possess an EPA MVAC 609 Air‑Conditioning certification Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing maintenance and repairs on over‑the‑road coaches or semi‑heavy‑duty trucks Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a diesel technician or mechanic Ability to interpret schematic diagrams Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Preferred Qualifications Over 4 years’ experience in diesel engine transit maintenance repair Experience with Cummins Insite diagnostic Knowledge of Therma King IntelligAire climate control systems Experience with marquee destination sign repair Multiplex Electronic Equipment experience Familiarity with transit GPS tracking Understanding of wheelchair lift/ramp systems Additional Information Schedule Availability: Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times vary. Pay Rate: Area Mechanic – $25.76 per hour. Fleet B Mechanic – $29.59 per hour.
