Lowboy CDL Driver

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lowboy CDL-A Driver to transport and deliver heavy construction equipment to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of DOT regulations, experience with oversized loads, and a commitment to safe operations. Key Responsibilities Operate lowboy trucks to haul heavy construction equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other machinery. Safely load, secure, and unload equipment using appropriate chains, binders, and tie‑down procedures. Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and inspection records in compliance with DOT requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, and equipment operators regarding schedules and delivery locations. Perform basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Minimum 3 years of experience as a CDL Class A driver. Minimum 3 years of experience as a lowboy or heavy haul driver in the construction industry. Experience hauling oversized and overweight loads. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and state‑specific hauling regulations. Ability to operate winches, ramps, and other loading equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and secure heavy chains and binders. Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
