As a National Account Manager Your role is toset and lead the account strategy for major national customers. You own the relationship at senior level and are accountable for performance, profitability, and partnership quality. You operate as a strategic commercial leader, not just an executor. Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Leadership Own top-tier national and platform accounts end-to-end Lead top-to-top meetings and long-term joint business planning Set clear customer strategies aligned to EU and global priorities Commercial Ownership Full accountability for revenue, margin, and profitability Lead pricing strategy, promotional architecture, and investment decisions Drive disciplined forecasting and demand planning Leadership & Influence Lead and develop KAMs and JKAMs where applicable Act as a senior commercial voice within the local business Execution at Scale Ensure flawless execution across large, complex retail organisations Translate strategy into execution with pace and clarity Drive accountability across cross-functional teams What Good Looks Like Strong, defensible national account positions Trusted senior relationships with buyers and directors Clear, scalable account strategies delivered consistently High-performing, developed account teams Skills & Experience 7–10+ years’ experience in national or strategic account management Proven delivery of large-scale retail growth Strong commercial judgement and P&L understanding Demonstrated people leadership and influence Think you’ve got what it takes?
