Client Algo Quant, Vice President

Client Algo Quant – VP, Onsite We are looking for a VP–level Client Algo Quant to lead the full life cycle of algo product development within State Street’s eFX business expansion plan. You will generate and research ideas to increase the breadth and depth of our client algo execution offering, enhance customer experience, and promote internalization with different trading teams. This role is primarily on site with flexible work options. Responsibilities Generate new ideas, identify performance improvements and control gaps, and specify and develop algorithmic trading models. Back‑test and prototype quant models, perform liquidity analysis and provisioning. Work closely with IT development and trading teams to bring models to production. Engage with sales, traders and clients to understand algorithm requirements and act as a subject‑matter expert. Perform bespoke analysis as requested by clients. Analyze and optimize algorithm flow and behavior to improve performance and customer experience. Display a culture of individual ownership and accountability. Adhere to the highest level of Code of Conduct and support the Risk Excellence culture. Qualifications Postgraduate degree (PhD or Master’s) in Mathematics, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience in eFX markets and developing FX algorithms. Strong knowledge of eFX markets and FX algo development. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with traders, sales, clients and IT teams. Object‑oriented programming skills in Java or C++. Proficiency in statistical packages such as Matlab, Python, or R. Strong statistical foundations and experience analyzing large data sets and tick data. Preferred Qualifications Pragmatic mindset with targeted research delivering innovative solutions that solve business problems and improve profitability. Self‑motivated and able to add value with minimal supervision. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $200,000 – $200,000 Annual (location dependent).
