Respiratory Care Practitioner II

Schedule: Varied 12 hour shifts, on-call required.

Requirements:

• College diploma required.
• Three years experience as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• State of CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform all respiratory care services for geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Manage ventilators, provide nebulized medication therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and aerosol therapy.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including 12-lead ECGs, simple pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry.
• Assist physicians with cardiac stress testing and perform arterial and capillary punctures.
• Assess patients' needs and tolerance to treatment, making necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare team members and participate in continuing education and rapid response teams.
