Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2750 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 year Cardiac Tele, inpatient only. - Reading telemetry. - Experience with CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis patients. - Experience with Amio and Cardizem drips. - Experience with central lines (HD caths, ports, PICCs).

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation. - Potential for dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitro, and milrinone drips. - Chest tubes and other drains. - CIWA (withdrawal) protocol.

Special Requests: - Blocked scheduling with no specific days may be approved based on facility requirements. - RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end. - Holiday RTO: only 1 request per assignment.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit. - Monitor techs watch patients, and tele monitors are available at each nurse station. - Uses lift equipment, bladder scanner, interpreter iPad, and BiPAP monitoring. - Patient population includes CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (mostly AFib, flutter, SVT), respiratory, renal, and hemodialysis patients. - Overflow patients may include sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawals, isolation, and GI bleeds.

Shift & Scheduling: - Holidays as required. - Every other weekend as required by facility. - No call. - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week may be considered. - Night shift orients on day shift; traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.

Floating Requirements: - Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
