For over 20 years, Jeff Hufford, CPA, LLC, a dynamic public accounting firm located in Austin, TX, has provided a wide range of tax, accounting and advisory services to a diverse roster of clients including small businesses and individuals. We're currently seeking a dedicated self-starter with 3+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax and accounting engagements. Responsibilities: Tax Services – Prepare and review individual and business tax returns. Accounting Services – Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax research, projections and analysis and review of client financial records. Client Services - Build client relationships and work collaboratively with clients. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience including experience preparing individual and business tax returns CPA license or EA designation is a plus, but not required Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, and PC skills including MS Excel, and tax software proficiency (ProSystem fx and Doc.it software proficiency are both a plus) Attention to detail with the ability to professionally lead engagements, effectively interact with clients and staff at all levels and juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Ability to remain abreast of tax law changes and document and cross-reference work papers in a paperless environment Restaurant, retail and real estate industry experience are a plus Competitive pay commensurate with experience Flexible schedules and arrangements with generous PTOProfessional growth opportunities Supportive, professional and collaborative office environment If you are seeking an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a highly regarded firm and are eager to hear more about becoming a key part of our tax team, please submit your resume by clicking 'Apply' above.
