National Field Manager

Overview Description The National Field Manager (NFM) will manage Field Operations Managers nationwide and may oversee other positions. The NFM will lead the field management team for the entire program nationwide, partnering with the client, client services team, and Talent Acquisition/Onboarding teams overseeing the hiring process of field teams. The NFM will partner with Internal Operations and Client Operations teams on mass communication needs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) needs, reporting needs, KPIs, compliance, and bonus measurements for Field Ops Managers. The NFM will also work directly with Field Ops Managers on weekly priorities, performance management escalations, and payroll to minimize unapproved overtime. The role includes monitoring hourly budgets and expenses by store and ensuring accountability to established KPIs. Responsibilities Weekly calls with the client, direct reports, and client leadership; prepare weekly talking points and data-driven insights for client presentations, including in-store photos. Field Management: Manage Field Management Teams, create and manage Field Management Processes and best-practice sharing. Field Operations: Coordinate internal stakeholders and manage the relationship between Field Team, Client leadership, and Operations to ensure proper field inputs and outputs. Team Leadership & Development: Act as a change agent, championing and driving change across projects/initiatives and ensuring proper implementation and execution. Fiscal Management: Understand and manage profitability measures and drivers including overtime, hours, and expenses. Strategic contribution: Support decisions with potential impact on the management and operation of an area within a department. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years in category management or 3 years in food brokerage. 12+ months of Field Operations Manager (FOM) or Territory management experience preferred. 18+ months of National Field Management experience mandatory OR 4+ years of prior relevant experience. District or Regional management experience within retail, managing teams dispersed over large geographic areas. Experience with human resource disciplines including employee relations, performance management, and knowledge of federal/state employment laws (highly preferred). Experience developing, tracking, and monitoring cross-functional processes; project management experience is ideal. Experience leading, managing, guiding, and developing direct manager-level reports. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to analyze and interpret varied problems using prior knowledge, precedents, and practices. Proficiency with Internet Explorer, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred. Strong relationship-building skills with senior-level stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and task prioritization. Ability to anticipate client and internal needs and present solutions. Goal-oriented with the ability to work with some guidance from supervisors/managers. Authority to direct daily work activities and to advise on hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with follow-up and problem-solving abilities. Availability to travel up to 25% with reliable transportation; must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing; a DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months is an immediate disqualifier.
