Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state-of-the-art facility. With safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Position Summary As the Associate Quality Technician (Microbiologist), you'll be responsible for managing routine microbiological evaluations of the factory production environment and processing systems. You will lead the factory in ensuring that all quality operations aspects are in place and high functioning including, but not limited to verification activities, documentation, and recordkeeping. Perform testing related to pathogen monitoring, including site swabbing of equipment, safe handling of samples for microbiological examination Maintain lab documentation as it relates to dates, times, temperatures, weights, and serial numbers Be a key member in the product release process, reviewing records, data, and decisions in SAP Perform calibrations and verifications of lab equipment. Complete basic lab inventories and ordering to ensure proper levels are maintained Follow all other lab and manufacturing good practices Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1+ year's experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, military or related environment Salary: $54,341.00 to $54,341.00 per year Bonus Eligibility: Yes The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
