Astria Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team! This position is located at our Astria Sunnyside Hospital in the Therapies department.

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

What you get to do every day!

As the Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing Speech Language evaluations and treatment to patients utilizing evidenced-based interventions. You will:

• Upon receipt of physician order, evaluates patients and interprets findings to develop an individualized plan of care to meet the needs and goals of the patient.
• Establishes and implements treatment interventions guided by best practice and evidence-based theory to achieve treatment goals.
• Implements treatment programs through direct treatment or other options such as Telehealth with patients.
• Throughout therapy process methodically plans for appropriate discharge once patient goals are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
• Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology ASHA curriculum
• Current Washington State Speech Language Pathologist license or eligible
• Member in good standing with ASHA
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Oral and written fluency in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications and Education.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• One-year experience hospital or outpatient services
• Experience in assessing swallow dysfunction
