About this opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic member of staff to act as a Personal Advisor within the Cared for and Care Experienced Team in Cumberland, based in either Carlisle or Workington. The role involves working with young people aged 16–18 alongside the allocated social worker, and with 18–25‑year‑olds who are care‑experienced, acting as their allocated worker. The PA must visit each client at least every 8 weeks and review their pathway plans every 6 months. Key responsibilities include supporting clients with benefits, accommodation, education, employment and training, health and emotional wellbeing, and, where appropriate, parenting. This role requires regular travel to serve clients who live outside the local area and also includes work with young people seeking asylum. Qualifications and Experience Relevant qualification such as DipSW, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent. At least two years’ experience working with young people. Strong communication skills, commitment to youth empowerment, and the ability to manage a caseload.
